Getlisted.org – Great Site On Local Search For Your Firm

by AttorneySync on June 10, 2010

Local search is a critical component of most law firm’s online marketing strategy. It’s important to understand the landscape of people that are searching for your firm in your geographic area. Getting better visibility in Google Places, Yahoo Local, and other local directories and search engines can yield a lot of valuable traffic to your site. I have yet to come across a site that discusses local search in a more clean, easy to understand manner than getlisted.org. From the website Getlisted.org:

GetListed.org was launched on January 20, 2009 as a resource for small business owners to learn more about the way their businesses are listed online. As our Mission Statement says, our goal is “to help small businesses claim and enhance their listings at major search engines.” GetListed.org currently focuses on businesses based in the United States only, but an international version of the site is in development.

We’re advocates for search engine optimization best practices that will lead to sustained, long-term search engine rankings for small businesses.

I recommend checking it out and using some of their free tools for your firm’s site.
