Google Fiberizing The Web

Imagine sitting in a rural courtroom, streaming real-time three-dimensional imaging of an accident scene to a jury. Or collaborating with a multi-jurisdictional trial team around the world while watching live 3-D video of a mock trial, opening statement, or cross-examination.

Yesterday, Google discussed its plan to develop ultra high-speed broadband networks. Their goal is to deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most people have access to today.

While the availability of such technology to the masses is likely far into the future, the prospect of such capabilities sparks the imagination.
