Want To See Something Cool?

by Jeff Berman on December 29, 2009

While it’s probably not ready for the mainstream, Google is cooking up something pretty cool with its new Google goggles:

Amongst the coolest features are the landmark and local business recognition. With Google’s efforts to buy AdMob, it is clear that they are positioning themselves to take over the mobile web.

While this technology is currently only available on the Droid, I doubt we will have to wait too long before it is available on other phones (and undoubtedly will be available on Google’s Nexus One).

I must admit that I do not currently own a Droid and have not actually put G-goggles to the test. If you have, what do you think?
