Terms of use
Last updated
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the www.attorneysync.com website, including its content, newsletters, podcasts, research, and forms (together, the "Site"), operated by Apcero, Inc., doing business as AttorneySync ("AttorneySync," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. AttorneySync is not a law firm or a lawyer referral service
AttorneySync is a marketing agency that works with law firms. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and using the Site or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing on the Site should be relied on as legal advice, including content that discusses attorney advertising rules or Rules of Professional Conduct.
AttorneySync is also not a lawyer referral service. We do not refer members of the public to lawyers, recommend or endorse particular lawyers to the public, or receive any portion of any lawyer's fees. If you are looking for a lawyer for a legal matter, please contact a lawyer directly or your state or local bar association's lawyer referral service. Do not send us details of your legal matter.
2. Notice to attorneys
If you are an attorney or work for a law firm, the Rules of Professional Conduct that apply to you govern your marketing and advertising, including rules on advertising, solicitation, communications about your services, and the unauthorized practice of law. You are responsible for your own compliance with those rules. Information on the Site, and any examples, templates, or recommendations we share, are not a substitute for your own review, and AttorneySync is not responsible for your compliance with the rules that apply to you.
3. Information only; no guarantee of results
Content on the Site, including articles, research, examples, pricing examples, and case results, is provided for general information. It may not be complete or current and may not apply to your firm's circumstances. Pricing shown on the Site is illustrative and is not an offer or a quote.
Results described on the Site come from specific client engagements. They are not typical and do not guarantee or predict similar results. Marketing results depend on many factors unique to each firm, including its market, competition, practice areas, budget, intake, and reputation, and past results are not an assurance of future results.
Unless stated otherwise, images and graphics on the Site are illustrative and do not depict actual clients, cases, or events.
4. Our services are governed by a separate agreement
Any marketing, advertising, consulting, or other services we provide are governed by a separate written agreement between AttorneySync and the client. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement controls for those services. Submitting a form, requesting an audit, or checking eligibility does not create a services relationship or obligate either party.
5. Use of the Site
You may use the Site in good faith, for lawful purposes, and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation, or infringes the rights of any person;
- Submit false or misleading information, or information you don't have the right to share;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems, or interfere with, overload, or impair the Site's operation or security;
- Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- Collect or store personal information about other users of the Site;
- Use the Site to send, or to gather information for, unsolicited advertising, spam, or other solicitations, or to send messages that use our name or trademarks deceptively; or
- Use automated means to access the Site except as described in section 6.
6. Intellectual property and limited license
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, research, logos, designs, and software, are owned by AttorneySync or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited license below, nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the Site or its content.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view the Site and to share, quote, or print discrete portions of its content for your personal or internal business use, with attribution and a link back to the Site, and without removing any copyright or other notices. You may not otherwise copy, republish, modify, sell, or create derivative works from Site content, or compile Site content into a database, dataset, or other collection offered to others, without our written permission.
Search engines and AI assistants may access, index, summarize, and cite the Site in accordance with our robots.txt file. That permission does not extend to republishing Site content in full or substantial part.

Other names, logos, and trademarks shown on the Site, including those of search engines, social platforms, and legal directories, belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify those products and services. Their use does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
7. Information you submit and communications
When you submit information through the Site, such as a contact form or newsletter signup, you confirm that it is accurate and that you have the right to share it, and you are responsible for it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect that information.
By submitting a form, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry by email, phone, or, where you have provided a phone number and consented, SMS text message. 8. Third-party content and links
The Site may include links to, or embedded content from, third-party websites and services, such as podcast players, video platforms, maps, and forms, as well as statements and opinions from guests, authors, and other third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, or privacy practices. Third-party opinions are their authors' own and do not necessarily reflect ours. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
9. Changes to the Site and access
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice. We may also suspend or end your access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. We are not liable to you or anyone else for any such change, suspension, or discontinuance.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Your use of the Site is at your own risk. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, AttorneySync disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. Anything you download from the Site is at your own risk. No advice or information obtained from us or through the Site creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AttorneySync and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount, if any, you paid us for access to the Site in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100). These limits do not apply to services provided under a separate written agreement, which is governed by its own terms.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AttorneySync and its owners, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of information you submit to the Site, your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of any other person.
13. Copyright concerns
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please contact us at info@attorneysync.com with a description of the work, where it appears on the Site, and your contact information. We will review and respond to good-faith requests.
14. Governing law and time to bring claims
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site must be filed within one (1) year after it arose, or it is permanently barred.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Changes apply from the time they are posted, and your continued use of the Site after that means you accept the updated Terms.
16. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and AttorneySync regarding the Site and supersede any prior agreements about the Site.
